It’s not unusual for your cache to prevent you from seeing updated content because it’s focusing on an old version of the page that you visited recently. This is an example of stored content taking precedent over the live content which you do not want.
Good news, there is an easy fix! Below is the step by step processes of clearing your browser cache!
Apple / Mac
Chrome
- Open Google Chrome
- Choose Chrome in the top bar
- Click Clear Browsing Data
- Select the time period and what you want to clear
- Click Clear Browsing Data
Firefox
- Open Mozilla Firefox
- Choose History in the top bar
- Click Clear Recent History
- Select the time period and what you want to clear
- Click Clear Now
Safari
- Open Safari
- Choose Safari in the top bar
- Click Clear History
- Select the time period
- Select Clear History
PC
Chrome
- Open Google Chrome.
- Click the menu (3 dots) in the top right corner.
- Click Privacy and security in the left the menu.
- Click Clear browsing data.
- Select the time period and what you want to clear.
- Click Clear data.
Firefox
- Open Mozilla Firefox.
- Click the menu (3 lines) in the top right corner.
- Click Options in the menu.
- Click Privacy & Security in the menu to the left.
- Scroll down to Cookies and Site Data.
- Click Clear Data…
- Select Cached Web Content and click Clear.
Internet Explorer 11
- Open Internet Explorer
- Click the gear icon in the top right corner.
- Move your mouse over Safety.
- Click Delete Browsing History.
- Select what you want to clear.
- Click Delete.
Microsoft Edge
- Click the menu (three dots) in the top right corner.
- Click Settings and then Privacy, search, and services on the left menu.
- Under clear browsing data, click Choose what to clear.
- Select the box for Cached images and files.
- Click Clear.
Android for Default Internet App
- Once you’ve opened your browser, click on the “more options” button.
- Click on settings.
- Click on the privacy option.
- Now select delete personal data.
- Now this is where you will un-check anything you don’t want to be cleared, like passwords or auto-fill data; Otherwise hit delete and you’re done!
Safari for iPhone
- Click on the settings icon on your iPhone.
- Scroll down until you see “Safari.” click on it to bring up the options for the safari browser.
- Click “clear history and website data” a popup box will appear.
- Click “clear history and data” one more time to confirm your decision.
