Fake Google Drive Login

Well, at least that was the most recent phishing scam that was announced in March. The person, or people, who created this sophisticated and convincing scam created a folder in a Google Drive (also called Google Docs) account in order to use a Google URL in the link they included.

Scammers are smart and are constantly finding new ways to trick people into giving out their personal information. You should always be careful about clicking links in emails, even if they come from one of your friend’s email addresses.

A good rule of thumb is, if you’re not sure, don’t click on it. And, don’t reply or call the phone number listed in the email. Go online, search for the company’s website, go to their “Contact Us” page, and use that information to find out if the email you received is valid.
